This may end up as a double entry as I lost the one I posted earlier.

Turned up at the beach and it looked like perfect 5.7m weather. Lots of kites (25ish) but only a couple of windsurfers which is unusual.

Did a couple of runs on the 5.7 but not quite enough to burn so changed to 6.5. A cloud came over which killed the wind for a while and I had a couple of right of way issues with kites, so I hope that was just a one off as it was a bit of a pain being dunked when you're trying to stay out of someone's way.

Took the opportunity to get away by heading about 1/2 mile upwind to Normans Bay where I knew a mate was hosting a hen night at a shack on the beach. Turned up in my wetsuit claiming to be the stripper - lots of cackling women as a result.

Had a quick drink while the wind picked up and then had a great downwind blast back to Cooden. By then most people had gone so had a fantastic hour with just two other kites.

Lovely.
